Irene
A female disposable razor designed for Treet, inspired by Greek mythology, with a focus on ergonomic comfort, better usability, and enhanced grip.

The Razor project was initiated for Treet with the aim of redesigning female body disposable razors. This initiative stems from the observation that existing female razors lack ergonomic design, which leads to an uncomfortable experience and prevents a smooth shaving experience. Our inspiration drawn from Greek art and mythology, particularly Irene, a mythological goddess known for bringing Serenity and tranquility, guided the design philosophy. Guiding principles of ovality, smoothness, and fluidity taken from the form of the goddess herself, became the cornerstones of the design approach. Soft, rounded corners and oval shapes throughout various structural aspects of the razor. Elements of Greek artistry and symbolism were inculcated into the packaging's visual aesthetics too. These design elements were chosen to not only echo the curves often found in Greek art but also to enhance the ergonomic functionality of the razor. Integration of rubber into the handle design offered the ideal solution to enhance the grip of the razor. The focus throughout the designing process was ergonomics backed up by research on ergonomics, usability sketches, testing, and mythology.
