Lafz-e-Tameer
An interactive Urdu learning game for kids aged 3–6, using cards and Arduino tech to teach word formation through fun, play, and audio-visual feedback.

Lafz-e-Tameer is an interactive, hands-on learning tool created to support children aged 3–6 who struggle with Urdu word formation. With many young learners in local schools being more exposed to English, Urdu often feels unfamiliar and difficult. This product tackles that issue by turning language learning into a fun, collaborative game rooted in the child’s local context. Using physical letter cards, kids are given prompts — like images or spoken words — and asked to build corresponding Urdu words on a central dock. The dock is equipped with Arduino-powered circuitry that detects the letters and provides real-time audio-visual feedback, guiding and encouraging kids as they play and learn. The goal of Lafz-e-Tameer is to move beyond rote memorization and foster a deeper understanding of how Urdu letters come together to form words. It introduces basic literacy concepts like right-to-left reading, phonetic recognition, and letter placement in a natural, engaging way. The physical nature of the tool makes it feel more like a toy than a lesson, offering an educational experience without screens or digital distractions.
