This project aimed to design an accessory for vehicles used in taxi or ride-hailing services, focusing on challenges faced by both drivers and passengers. The solution is a child safety seat specifically created for bike-hailing services in Pakistan, where the lack of safe options often limits accessibility for women with younger children. By introducing this product, bike-hailing becomes a more affordable and convenient transport choice for families. The seat is designed for children aged 3 to 6 years and was developed with reference to the Honda CD 70 motorcycle, ensuring compatibility with one of the most used bikes in the country. For safety, the design integrates an ISOFIX fitting system, a secure anchoring method also used in car baby seats, to attach the accessory firmly to the bike. Additional safety and comfort are provided through a five-point harness strap that holds the child securely, along with footrests and a neck rest designed to make the ride stable and comfortable. The overall solution balances safety, practicality, and ease of use, creating a reliable accessory that enhances accessibility and trust in bike-hailing services.
